Two of the area's hottest bands have a Sarnia stop on their very popular new tour.
On Nov. 26, Whiskey Rain and 3rd Wave are bringing their Molson-sponsored "Rock & Country Collide" tour to the Stubborn Mule, a show that features both bands playing non-stop for three hours, according to promoters.
The choreographed show is said to be a visual delight, as any of the 800 fans who took in the event when it came to Alvinston can attest.
The tour stop includes prizes for audience members including a one-year membership to Sharky’s athletic club for one lucky winner.
The Sarnia area will get its first taste of the tour's very impressive sound and light show, including several numbers where the two bands perform together.
"We realize that many music lovers enjoy a variety of music, inclluding country, pop and rock," says Sean Robbins, one of the lead singers for Whiskey Rain, the "country" portion of the evening.
3rd Wave rocks the rest of the night away with great rock & roll party songs.
Both bands are hugely popular in the Sarnia area with thousands of followers on their respective fan sites.
Non-profit groups are already looking ahead to 2012, booking up this great show, many for its ability to give audiences the best of both musical genres in one show.
The tour is scheduled for Sarnia Kinsmen Rib Fest, the Mackinac Festival and many more in the area over the next year.
Both bands have received great airplay locally and internationally with their original country and rock singles.
