Ronald McDonald makes appearance at new Pathways facility
Feature, Sarnia — By JD Booth on June 9, 2012 at 3:07 pmIt was "way back" in January 2011 that McDonald's Children's Charities donated $30,000 to Pathways Health Centre for Children for the construction of a "snoezelen" room, a controlled multi-sensory stimulation environment that uses lighting effects, colour, sound, music and scents.
Last Friday, Ronald McDonald himself was at Pathways, greeting some of the children who use the facility, which is now open.
The donation was the last direct "outside" gift from Ronald McDonald Children's Charities (money now being raised from sale of Happy Meals go to building Ronald McDonald Houses throughout the country).
The original application for the grant was made with the help of local McDonald's co-owner/operator Colleen Buckley.
Pictured with Ronald are, from left, Logan Maloney, Savannah Ramsay, Bishop Bressette and Flynn Maloney.
