Sarnia police arrest man for daylight break and enters

A 36-year-old Sarnia man was arrested yesterday afternoon after a resident on Erindale Court called police when they spotted a man in the house. The man fled and police began scouring the area. Another caller from Cassandra indicated someone ran run thru their home.
A COPPS Branch officer spotted a man matching the description on Wellington near Finch. He was told to stop but the suspect chose to run. He was apprehended a short distance away in the yard of a home on Copperfield.
He was arrested and will go for a bail hearing today.
Cash and jewelry were found in his coat pockets and it is believed he is responsible for three break and enters in the area.
Police said the investigation is continuing.
