Sarnia police say armed robbery never happened

Sarnia Police now say a report of an armed robbery on Sunday afternoon was a hoax.

After a follow-up interview, detectives say the 56-year-old man admitted to concocting the story that he had been relieved of his wallet while tending to car problems in a London Road parking lot.

He has been charged with public mischief
