Severe thunderstorm watch in effect tonight

Environment Canada said severe thunderstorms are possible today into the evening for Sarnia, Petrolia and most of western Lambton County.

There is also apparently the potential for the development of severe thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds and torrential rainfall.

A hot and humid air mass across Southern Ontario has the potential to produce scattered thunderstorms across Lambton County late this afternoon and into the early evening hours.

A few of these thunderstorms have the potential to produce severe weather with heavy downpours, 2 cm hail and winds up to 90 km/h as the main threats.
