Sting opponent given 10-game suspension
Uncategorized, Where we live — By JD Booth on October 12, 2011 at 2:52 pmA recent opponent of the Sarnia Sting has been handed a 10-game suspension for his hit on Sarnia's Julian Luciani last Friday night at the RBC Centre.
Kyle Hope of the Oshawa Generals received a five-minute major for charging and a game misconduct as a result of the play.
The league says Hope, a Blenheim native, made contact with Luciani's head while the Sting rearguard was in a vulnerable position, and while he was not in possession of the puck.
