Summer Jobs Service Student Centre opens for business May 2

The Summer Jobs Service Student Centre will open its doors on main campus at Lambton College on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 8:30 a.m.  Students finishing up exams this month can switch modes right away into their job search with the help from services provided through the Centre.

Opening Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. plus Wednesday evenings until 7 p.m. for May and June, the Centre is a resource for any students looking for work for the summer.  Services are open to all students 15 – 30 years of age. 

In addition to finding new job postings on a daily basis at the Centre, free workshops will also be delivered for clients including: Employer Expectations, Resume development,  Job Search Strategies,  and Interview skills.  Students can also access the posted listings online atwww.lambton.on.ca/SJS/Job_Listings.

Currently, over 150 employers from across the area access the program for funded positions.  Funding for employers is still available for $2.00 per hour wage subsidy.  Call the Centre for more details.

The Bayside Centre Student Centre location is no longer open. For Summer Jobs Service information please attend the office NOW located at Lambton College.
