Lambton OPP says it is investigating the theft of a snow fence from the Ipperwash beach area. The theft occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Nov. 25, 2011 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 26. Lambton County OPP say its officers held some 13 Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) checkpoints over the weekend, with more than 900 vehicles stopped. No violations were found. The OPP is reminding everyone that impaired driving continues to be the leading cause of criminal death in Canada.
