Corunna’s Derek Drouin high jumps to gold medal at Commonwealth Games

Sarnia-Lambton has won its bid to host the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, to be held this November 2-8 in Sarnia and Lambton Shores. Lawn bowlers show off their colours at local Canada Day tournament

The Sarnia team of, from left, Nick Symes, Grant Collison and Gerry Wild, took top honours when the Sarnia Lawn Bowling Club held the annual Smith Funeral Home Open Triples tournament on Canada Day. Twelve teams took part in the event. Second place went to the local team of Ed Braithwaite, Marg Daye and Edna Braithwaite, while Craig Dorey, Erin Dorey and Michelle Whitehead from Dresden finished third.
