Traffic stops lead to drug charges
Lambton County — By JD Booth on January 3, 2012 at 1:46 pmLambton OPP say two traffic stops, the first on Dec. 28 and one on New Year's Day, resulted in various drug charges.
On Dec. 28 at around 11:30 p.m., officers stopped a GMC truck on Rokeby Line in the area of Fairweather Road. They discovered assorted drug paraphernalia and a quantity of suspected Oxycodone. A 32-year-old Oil Springs woman and a 39-year-old Courtright man face charges of possession of a controlled substance. The woman faces two further charges of failure to abide by a court order.
Two hours into 2012, OPP stopped a Chevrolet van on Townsend Line east of Forest, resulting in a 20-year-old Thedford man being charged with possession of a controlled substance. In that incident, a 26-year-old woman, also from Thedford, was charged with having open alcohol in the vehicle.
