Transport driver faces impaired charged
Crime, Lambton County — By Joe Burd on February 10, 2012 at 10:40 amA Dresden man faces charges of impaired driving and being over the legal limit following a traffic complaint.
At around 11 p.m. on Feb. 9, Lambton OPP were called to the Sarnia Service Centre on Oil Heritage Road for a hit and run complaint.
A transport is alleged to have done damage to another transport and then left the area.
The suspect transport was located a short time later travelling east on Churchill Line when police caught up with it and the driver stopped.
The male driver showed signs of being impaired by an alcoholic beverage and was arrested. Subsequent breath tests revealed that he was over the legal limit.
Abram Dyk Neufeld, 36, from Dresden will appear in Sarnia court on the Feb. 27 to answer to the charges.
