Trees Ontario honours former local resident
Lambton County, Plympton-Wyoming, Where we live — By JD Booth on August 29, 2011 at 8:54 amA former Wyoming resident has been honoured by Trees Ontario as one of its Green Leaders, a reward for the commitment to trees and forestry stewardship in the province.
Susan Loube was cited for planting more than five thousand Norway Spruce, White Pine and White Spruce seedlings on a 5.5 acre site in Cedar Valley, just north of Toronto.
“We wanted lots of trees and trails to explore and ideally some wetlands to do some of the outdoor activities we (she and her husband) enjoy together,” said Loube in a recent news release
After leaving Wyoming to attend Queen's University in Kingston, Loube subsequently lived in England and Ireland before settling in the GTA.
