Update: Female suspect in theft identified

Sarnia Police have issued a warrant to arrest 31-year-old Sarnia woman Joe-Ann Esther Wyonch in connection with a theft at a business in the Lambton Mall on Sep. 16.

Police had obtained in-store video of the shoplifter and released it to the public asking for their assistance in identifying the female suspect.

Since the woman’s photo was released, police have received numerous tips that led to a positive identification earlier this week.

Wyonch is alleged to have taken a blue Nintendo 3 DSI Excel valued at approximately $200.00.

She is wanted for two counts of Theft Under $5000.00.

Sarnia Police are grateful for the tips received and wish to thank everyone for their assistance.
