Obituaries — By JD Booth on May 11, 2012 at 5:55 pmWe are heartbroken by the sudden and tragic loss of our beautiful and beloved daughter, sister and granddaughter Morgan (Mimi) Jean Vandenberghe on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the tender age of 14.
Cherished daughter of Jen (Smit) and Doug Vandenberghe. Forever loved by her brothers Jacob and Grady. Treasured granddaughter of Judy (Nanny) and Wayne Schultz, Judy (Gramma) and the late Douglas Vandenberghe and Hank and Deb Smit. Loved niece of Jackie and Jimmy Easson, Madison and Matthew Smit, Andrea and Nicole Schultz, Jason and Kelly Vandenberghe, and Mandy Vandenberghe and Scott Irwin. Dear cousin of Marlo and Briar Easson, Lucia and Nolan Schultz, Jonah Vandenberghe, and Emma and Adam Vandenberghe. Morgan will be greatly missed by many special friends- too many to mention specifically. She was an avid fan of lacrosse, a sport she began playing at the age of seven and was honoured to be the captain of the Sarnia Lady Pacers Lacrosse Team.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, May 13, 2012, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2012, at Grace United Church, 990 Cathcart Blvd., Sarnia. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Clair Child & Youth Services (Teen Suicide Awareness) or to the charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
