Walpole Island police seize drugs after stopping ‘suspicious’ vehicle
Crime, Walpole Island — By JD Booth on July 18, 2011 at 1:11 pmOn July 17, after responding to reports of a suspicious vehicle on Altiman Road and subsequently stopping and searching the vehicle, Walpole Island Police are said to have seized 69 Percocet pills, 60 Tylenol 3 pills and assorted drug paraphernalia.
The incident, which occurred at about 9:15 p.m., resulted in the arrest of two women from Walpole Island, a 19-year-old and a 54-year-old, as well as a 20-year-old Wallaceburg man.
All face charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking,. The 19-year-old woman faces two additional charges of failing to abide by a court order.
They will all appear in a Sarnia court on Sept. 5 to answer to the charges.
