Woman faces assortment of charges after vicious scissors attack

A 30-year-old woman was treated at hospital and released Wednesday after being viciously attacked and stabbed with scissors at the hands of a 20-year-old woman.
The attack happened at a residence in the 100-block of George Street yesterday just before 5:30 p.m. The victim’s 14-year-old son was also present and witnessed the attack.
The suspect was arrested, charged with Assault with a Weapon, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, and Breach of Probation, and taken into custody to await a bail hearing. Another 30-year-old woman was also present during the attack and intervened effectively stopping the assault.
The scissors were found and the Forensic Identification Branch attended to process the scene and collect evidence.
