Brandon Campbell made 52 saves to lead the Alvinston Flyers to a 3-2 win over Kingsville in Great Lakes Junior “C” hockey action last night, with 21 of the saves coming in the third period.
Joe Archer scored twice on the Flyers, including the game winner early in the final frame. Chris Edward had the other Alvinston goal, while Kyle Brothers added two assists.
Elsewhere on the weekend, Mooretown lost 7-2 in Blenheim. However, the Flags retain their slim one point lead over Alvinston for second place in the North division.
The Flyers travel to Belle River on Friday and Mooretown is at home to Dresden on Saturday.
