Centennial Park remediation continues

Front Street parking lot, lots and entrance near Sarnia Bay will close starting Monday

Pictured is an area east of the Sarnia Bay Marina that will be closed off as part of the Centennial Park remediation project starting the week of July 25, 2016.

Phases 2 and 3 of the Centennial Park Remediation Project have started and the City of Sarnia says several areas will be closed to the public beginning the week of Monday (July 25, 2016).

The areas to be closed as early as Monday include:

Front Street parking lot

Sarnia Bay Marina’s eastern parking lot (new boat ramp location)

Entrance on the western portion of Sarnia Bay Marina near the aggregate pipe

Pedestrian loop (promenade area)

Officials say new boat ramp construction will begin the week of August 1, the same time as the northwestern parking lot in Centennial Park is also to be closed.

New boat ramp construction will not impact the operation of the existing ramp until it is completed.
