Update; drifts as high as two metres east of Modeland Road

Police in Sarnia have closed all eastbound roads at Modeland Road due to dangerous conditions.
Constable Bill Baines says the road are being closed to keep drivers from becoming stranded on roads that can be impassable in spots.
“While it may be inconvenient, the road closures have been ordered in the interest of public safety,” said Baines in a news release to LambtonShield.com
Local police have also authorized the towing of abandoned vehicles that have become stranded in the storm.
For more information, motorists are asked to call Preferred Towing at 519-344-7277.
Meantime, the closure of both lanes of highway 402 remains in effect.  The highway is now closed from the Blue Water Bridge to Strathroy.
Since the snow began on Sunday, the Western Region OPP, which includes officers in Lambton County, has responded to more than 500 incidents due to the weather.
