Rona Ambrose, the interim leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, is visiting Sarnia-Lambton tomorrow (Wednesday, August 10).
Among her planned events are a ticketed lunch at the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club, sponsored by the Sarnia Lambton of Chamber of Commerce.
Ambrose is also expected to visit Lambton College, the offices of Bioindustrial Innovation Canada, and a private Conservative event. Local MP Marilyn Gladu said Ambrose visit, which is part of a series of stops she is making in southwestern Ontario over the summer, is an opportunity for the interests of the area to be highlighted. Those other stops include London and Kitchener-Waterloo.
“We’re able to show all the great things going on here,” added Gladu, who is a member of Ambrose’s party. “We can always use an advocate,” Gladu said.
The luncheon, hosted jointly by the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Sarnia, is 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 10. Tickets are $50, or $400 for a table of eight.
