The County of Lambton has hired its new General Manager of Infrastructure & Development Services. Jason Cole assumed his new responsibilities May 2, 2016.
Cole has been with the County of Lambton since accepting the position of Manager, Public Works in 2010. In his six years with the County, he has been responsible for the operation and construction of the County road network, management of the County’s landfills, and providing collection events for household hazardous waste among other responsibilities.
Cole takes over for Jim Kutyba who retired from the County of Lambton at the end of April. The General Manager of Infrastructure & Development Services oversees work being done in the County’s Building Services, Planning & Development Services, and Public Works Departments.
“Jason’s wealth of experience in both the public sector and the engineering field will serve the residents, businesses and municipalities of Lambton County well,” said Ron Van Horne, Chief Administrative Officer. “Jason is a welcome addition to the County’s team of General Managers.
Cole graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Western Ontario (now Western University). His career began in the private sector, leading to stops with the Department of Public Works & Service for the Government of Nunavut and the Ministry of Transportation for the Government of Ontario.
