Those thinking that Canada's second longest-serving mayor might drift off into the sunset (or wherever retired mayors go) might give it a second thought.
Certainly Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley has, especially as he hears comparisons between him and Hazel McCallion, who holds the top longevity spot among elected heads of Canadian cities.
"I'm 55 now," noted Bradley, who sat recently with LambtonShield.com for an interview, looking back at the last four years and what might be ahead. "Hazel was two years older than I am now before she first took office."
Bradley has earned a reputation for waiting almost until the last minute before announcing whether he'll run again when the next municipal election comes around. And that isn't likely to change.
"It's a decision that will be made in 2014," he noted. But clearly, he isn't looking to go anywhere. Not just yet.
