The staff at Northern takes their time to help prepare students for their Ontario Literacy Test. The test is to be scheduled for Thursday March 31, so grade 10 students work hard to prepare themselves to pass this test. Students are encouraged by faculty to be like a sponge and soak up all the information they can for this test. They are told to believe in themselves and to keep their answers simple to avoid any unnecessary stress.

The literacy test is important because it is required to graduate high school. It contains reading passages with questions , short answer questions, and a five paragraph essay. Faculty has had practice sessions and after-school preparation opportunities to aid students.

Good luck to all Grade 10 students!
