A group dedicated to having a more “bike friendly” Sarnia-Lambton will be hosting Monday evening outings beginning May 2 and running through June 27.

Bike-Friendly Lambton, a community partnership working, is committed to education, engineering, enforcement, encouragement and evaluation.

Group volunteers will be hosting the “Sarnia by Bike” sessions, which will start from the Strangway Community Centre parking lot at 260 East St. N. in Sarnia.

Helmets are recommended for all cyclists and mandatory for anyone under 18 years of age. Rides will be held weather permitting.

The evening tours will begin at 6 p.m. and run through 7:30 p.m.

The typical distance to be travelled will be from 10-20 kilometres with riders taking what is being called a “relaxed, comfortable” pace.
