SPOTLIGHT, WITH J.D. BOOTH

This Lambton College ‘executive dean’ is helping lead the way on research

Dr. Mehdi Sheikhzadeh tells how school is uniquely positioned to bring even more activity to area

Dr. Mehdi Sheikhzadeh, the executive dean of Applied Research and Technology at Lambton College, is one busy fellow, leading the way in an ever-expanding portfolio of projects that have one thing in common: they all have strong possibilities for the commercialization of new products and technologies.

Companies that connect with Lambton College, either directly or through the nearby Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park, will undoubtedly meet up with Sheikhzadeh at one point or another.

J.D. Booth of Lambton Shield was able to sit down with this boundlessly energetic scientist—he has a doctorate in chemical engineering to talk about what’s ahead (in “big picture” terms) and just how exciting the future is looking for companies that bring their opportunities to Lambton College.
