Local kitchen & bath design company holding seminar next month

3rd annual event will take place Feb. 27, with profit from $15 tickets going to Women's Interval Home

William Standen Co., a local kitchen & bath design firm, is holding a two-hour seminar on February 27, 2016.

William Standen & Co., a Sarnia-based kitchen & bath design firm, is holding its third annual design & renovation seminar, a two-hour ticketed event on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Best Western Guildwood Inn in Point Edward.

Tickets for this educational event are $15 in advance ($20 at the door if the event is not sold-out—which is was last year).

According to an email sent by the company, spots were gone within a week.

Profits for this year’s event will go to support the Women’s Interval Home in Sarnia, say organizers.

Topics in the seminar include:

Design & Function—the importance of function and form, why work with a qualified designer, total project design vs. cabinet layout.

Cabinets—how to recognize quality, what to look out for, construction methods, indoor air quality.

Renovations—building a relationship with your contractor, understanding contracts, what to expect before during & after, how to make your project a priority.

Countertops, appliances & flooring—what to choose and why, importance of function, what options are on the market, current trends.
