‘Lock it or lose it,’ warns OPP after Forest spree

Lambton OPP say four Forest youths were nabbed after it was determined that they had been breaking into vehicles.
In the crime spree, which took place between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on November 16, 2010 in the general area of Argyle Street, the youths, three 15 year olds and one 14 year old who cannot be named, managed to steal assorted identification, credit and debit cards, DVDs, and cash.
They all face penalties under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
In its news release, the OPP said the incident is a reminder for residents to not only remove personal valuables from their vehicles but to lock them.

  • LOL.
Telling people to lock there cars 400 times a year and people still don’t get the point?
Hmmmm. Must be something in the water!

  • Rick – people can pick locks you know. Its very easy. And being 14/15 year olds they probably looked it up on youtube.com which is possible.
Locking it is really best for your insurance claim let alone actually stopping the thieves.
