Mitch Zavitz scores game winner in Petrolia Squires 5-3 besting of Milverton

Mitch Zatvitz scored the game winner with a four and a half minutes to play in the third period to help lift the Petrolia Squires to a 5-3 win over Milverton's 4 Wheel Drives  in senior hockey action last night at the Greenwood Recreation Centre.

Dan Veenema scored twice for the Squires, with the others going to Jason Polera and Scott McPhail.

Steve Bryce turned aside 32 shots for the win between the pipes.

The game was tied 1-1 after the opening period play and remain the same through 40 minutes hockey, before the Squires won it with a four goal outburst in the final frame.

Petrolia, now 12-3 on the season, travels to Lucan on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Their next home game is next Friday, December 10 against the Goderich Pirates
