For the first time in years, Northern hosted the semi-finals game against the St Pat’s Irish on Monday (May 16, 2016).  The game had determined who will have a rematch against the Ursuline College’s Lancers on Thursday.

With both teams prepared for this game, there was no fooling around. Warmups were serious and intimidating, proving that no jokes or silly plays will be seen.

In the first half of the game, Northern came out strong, pulling a score of 24-3. The Irish fought hard for the ball, pushing the ball forward. With a risky kick, the Irish took a shot at the goalposts. The results were in their favour, scoring 3 points.

During the second half of the game, Northern was able to score another try, changing the score to 29-3. With just a few short minutes to the end, the Irish was able to score their first try of the game. The final score of the game was 29-8, meaning that the Northern Vikings will  play the Ursuline College Lancers on Thursday in Chatham.

A special shoutout goes to the St Pat’s Irish team for their effort and their enthusiasm for the game. A congratulations to the Northern Vikings and good luck to the team for their rugby finals game on Thursday.
