OPP seeking help in identifying driver who left scene after crash

Collision occurred Friday morning in Warwick Township


Lambton OPP is seeking the assistance of the public as it investigates a head-on collision between a full sized pickup truck and a small passenger car that occurred early on the morning of Friday (September 2, 2016) in Warwick Township.

The 7:15 a.m. incident occurred on Confederation Line east of Forest Road. OPP say their investigation revealed that the pickup truck had been westbound on Confederation Line when it left the westbound lane, entered the eastbound lane and hit the car, a purple Pontiac G6.

Police say the pickup truck fled the scene, going westbound on Confederation Line. The driver of the Pontiac was taken to hospital and teated for minor injuries.

The pickup truck is described as full-sized, dark in colour and will have extensive damage to the front end.  No details, including gender, of the driver are available.
