Lambton OPP say a fire Tuesday morning at a pig farm located in the 5600 block of Confederation Line in Plympton-Wyoming has resulted in an estimated total loss of $3 million.

While the cause of the fire has yet to be determined, OPP said in a news release that nothing suspicious has been revealed.

When police arrived at the scene, just before 9 a.m., the barn, which contained about 4,000 pigs, was fully engulfed. While no one was injured in the fire, none of the livestock survived.

Confederation Line between Stewardson Road and Wanstead Road was closed for about five hours while emergency crews were on scene.
