Police raid Confederation St. residence, seize drugs

Sarnia Police Services raided a home in the 200 block of Confederation early Wednesday evening (Nov. 24), seizing about four pounds of marijuana, 18 mature marijuana plants and a small quantity of Oxycodone tablets.

Officers using a search warrant also took digital scales and packaging materials.

A 31-year-old female was charged with Possession for the Purposes of Trafficing and Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was released to appear in court at a future date.

A 29-year-old male was also arrested at the scene. He faces charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Breach of Recognizance (bail violation) and Breach of Probation. Police say the man was also wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to attend court.

He will appear in court later today Thursday, Nov. 25) for a bail hearing.
