The Lambton Shores Predators surrendered three consecutive goals in the third period in a 5-4 loss in Greater Ontario Junior "B" Hockey League action in St. Thomas on Sunday night.
Brett Hope broke a 4-4 tie with the game winning goal at 15:27 of the third period. Drew Collinson had tied the game for the Western Division leading Stars less than three minutes earlier.
Wyoming's Adam Arsenault registered the hat trick for the Preds, including a successful penalty shot in the second period, while Corbin Bean had the other goal for Lambton Shores.
Mark Foley made 41 saves in a losing cause as the Stars outshot the visitors, 46-24.
The rough and tumble affair featured several fighting majors and misconducts.
Lambton Shores, now 4-17 on the season, will host St. Thomas on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Forest.
On Saturday night, the Predators lost 13-3 to St. Marys and the Sarnia Legionnaires came up empty in a 3-0 defeat in Leamington.
The Legionnaires host St. Marys on Thursday at the Sarnia Arena. Face off is at 7:10 p.m.
