Dean Hodgson always knew that the nine binders that detail the history of Canatara Park existed and for many years he has been on the hunt to track them down. The binders were created in the 1990s by Jack Fraser for the tour guides who worked in the park in the summer months. When the funding for the tours was cancelled, the binders were lost.

For many years, Hodgson has been working to track them down, but it was only with the help of Tom St. Amand that they have been rediscovered.

A monthly meeting of the Sarnia Historical Society, to be held Tuesday, October 25, 2016, is an opportunity to hear their story and spend some time looking through the binders. The meeting will take place at The Story, 179 Christina Street N., Sarnia, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend.
