Sarnia Police are reminding people to keep their vehicles looked and valuable items secured following two incidents in the area.
The most recent incident, which resulted in the arrest of a 51-year-old Sarnia man just after 9 a.m. Thursday, involved police observing a man on a bicycle circling a parking lot and attempting to open vehicle doors. The man, who is being held for a bail hearing, was arrested and charged with one count of attempted theft and one count of breach of probation.
On Wednesday shortly after 4:30 p.m., Sarnia Police say they were called to the area of Russell and Confederation Streets after receiving a call about a suspicious male going in and out of driveways, apparently looking in vehicle windows and attempting to open their doors.
The witness followed the suspect but lost sight of him in the area of Alfred and Russell.
