Sarnia Police say investigation is now being treated as murder

Sarnia Police are now treating a death of a 26-year-old man found Friday morning as a homicide.

The victim, a 26-year-old Sarnia man, has been identified as Jonathan Patrick Pike, who was found by Sarnia Police in a wooded area west of Tashmoo Avenue.

Police had responded to a call for service, which they say lead to the discovery of the victim. As early as Friday afternoon, the death was being treated as “suspicious,” which was upgraded to a homicide investigation Saturday morning.

A section of Tashmoo between Christopher Drive and LaSalle Line, remained closed on Saturday for the investigation.
