Sarnia solar project wins national award; company executive named ‘Solar Leader of the Year’

The company that developed and constructed the largest photovoltiac power plant in the world has been honoured by the Canadian Solar Industries Association with its "Solar PV Project of the Year" award.
First Solar opened the 80 megawatt solar farm in Sarnia in October. It was subsequently purchased by Enbridge Inc.
"We are pleased to receive this recognition for the Sarnia project," said Frank De Rosa, First Solar senior vice president of project development for North America. "Together with Enbridge, we are leading the development of utility-scale solar energy in Canada."
The Canadian Solar Industries Association also honoured Peter Carrie, First Solar vice president of business development in Canada, with its "Solar Leader of the Year" award.
