Seniors seminar coming to Point Edward

Lambton OPP in conjunction with Lambton Ederly Outreach will host a free information seminar for seniors on Thursday, December 2 from 9 a. m to noon at the Point Edward Community Centre.
The seminar will focus of elder abuse, power of attorney issues and joint bank accounts.
Since space is limited, registration is required by calling Katie at (519) 845-1353 to ensure a seat at the event.
The guest speaker will be Constable Ed Lum from the Hamilton Police Service "Crime Against Seniors Unit."
Lambton OPP Constable John Reurink says seniors are the most targetted group by scammers as well as being most likely to be bilked by family members and friends.
Reurink says one in four people in Canada will be over the age of 65 by 2031.
