‘Teddy Bear Toss’ coming this Friday at RBC Centre

BEAR2

The fur will be ready to fly at the RBC Centre this Friday night and it has nothing to do with the fact that the Sting are playing the Niagara Ice Dogs.

Indeed, this sort of fur involves the venerable Teddy Bear and specifically the 13th annual Teddy Bear Toss, where nearly 3,000 or so inanimate but very much loved critters will be deposited on RBC Centre ice when the Sting earns their first goal.

The event, which has Lambton Ford among its proudest supporters, benefits local charities, including the Salvation Army, says Rob Ravensberg, dealership vice president.

Over the years, the animals donated have topped the 30,000 mark and this year should add substantially to that total.
