Theft from Alvinston business reported by OPP

Thieves broke into Hayter Heating and Cooling, a business operating from Alvinston this week.

The entry, which OPP say occurred sometime between 9 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 5:30 a.m. the next day, was gained by breaking an exterior window. Once inside thieves targeted a safe and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

Also  stolen from the workshop area of the business were14 rolls of copper piping and 28 additional copper pieces.

The estimated value of the copper is set at approximately $1,600 and OPP say the investigation is continuing.
