Tonight’s ‘Smoke-free’ movie night features Disney’s Zootopia

Friday night event, behind Clearwater Arena, is free for families

Lambton’s Youth CHAT—Community Health Action Team) is holding its annual Outdoor Tobacco-free Movie Night, featuring Disney’s Zooptia tonight (Friday, July 22, 2016) at Clearwater Park, behind Clearwater Arena on Wellington Street in Sarnia.

The movie begins at dusk but the event starts at 7 p.m. with interactive games and prizes.

Internet broadcaster David Burrows recently spoke with Becky Wellington-Horner, Health promoter with the County of Lambton, about the event:

“Parents need to become aware of what their children are watching in movies,” said CHAT member Jessica Wilkinson. “Tobacco is in more movies than you think. Our goal is to educate parents about the amount of smoking in movies while keeping it fun and light for their kids.”

Zooptia fits that bill.

Parents should bring lawn chairs and blankets. This is a tobacco-free event and tobacco use is not permitted.
