Two Sarnia schools reach semi-finals at a prestigious high school basketball tournament in London

The St. Christopher Cyclones and Northern Vikings have both reached the final four at the 53rd annual Purple and White boys high school basketball tournament at the University of Western Ontario in London.
 
The Vikings will take Niagara Falls-A.N. Meyer this afternoon at 1:30 at Alumin Hall in one semi-final game,while the Cyclones tip off against Oakville-Loyola, also at 1:30, at Thames Hall in the other.
The winners meet for the title this afternoon at 5 p.m. at Alumini Hall.
St. Christopher's opponent, Oakville-Loyola, is considered one of the best high school teams in all of Canada.
 
In action yesterday, St. Christopher edged London-Bantam, 54-52 and defeated Hamilton-Newman, 68-56. Northern edged London-Catholic Central, 57-55 in overtime and nipped Kitchener-Resurrection, 58-56.
