Van and truck collide near Wilkesport

St. Clair Township firefighters and EMS personnel used the jaws of life to cut free a Windsor-area woman as a result of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 40 at Wilkesport Line Thursday at about 7 p.m.
Provincial Police say the minivan the woman was driving collided with an empty tanker truck. They say the woman was turning left as the truck was trying to pass when she clipped the front right side of the truck.
Hanna Pyne, 21, of LaSalle, was initially taken to Bluewater Health and then transferred to London Health Sciences for surgery on a serious fracture to her left arm.
The truck driver, William Todd, 56, of Tupperville was taken to hospital in Wallaceburg for treatment of shock.
