Weekend heats up for Sarnia Sting

Club to host Flint Firebirds on Friday, followed by two road games—Flint (Saturday) and Windsor (Sunday)

The Sarnia Sting are looking forward to a productive weekend as they face the Flint Firebirds (Friday and Saturday) and Windsor Spitfires (Sunday afternoon).

Club notes:

Travis Konecny: Konecny added another 5 points to his tally with the Sting, including 2G, 2A on Saturday night at home. He is now 8th in OHL scoring with 60 points in 38 games this season, 15 in 9 as a member of the Sting.

Jakob Chychrun: Chychrun was named captain of Team Cherry for the BMO Top Prospects game on Thursday night. The game will be broadcasted on Sportsnet, beginning at 9 p.m. (ET). Chychrun has 29 points in 42 games this season and was ranked 2nd among NA skaters (CSS) for the upcoming NHL Draft.

Jordan Kyrou: Kyrou will also represent the Sting at the BMO Top Prospects game on Thursday night. Central Scouting Services (CSS) ranked Jordan 45th among NA Skaters.

Jeff King: With a rating of +27, Jeff King is tied for 9th among OHL plus/minus leaders.

Patrick White: White had 1G, 2A last weekend and now has a total of 8 points in the month of January. This season, White has career highs in GP (44), G (11), A (12), PTS (23) and plus/minus (+13)

Anthony Salinitri: The draft-eligible forward scored his 9th of the season on Sunday in London after being ranked 126th among NA skaters by CSS.

Injury Report: Nikita Korostelev – lower body (week-to-week), Troy Lajeunesse – upper body (day-to-day)
